This may be bad advice because this is what I myself would do, but I am going to give it to you anyways.

I think there's no shame in having a relationship here with someone different than back in your own world. We don't know how long we're going to be here, and we don't know if anyone else from our world will ever join us. It doesn't do us any good to face this world alone.

That depends. Does the person here think that the two of you are mutually exclusive?

It's not bad. It just means that you have to ask. If they think the two of you are mutually exclusive, it would be wise to tell them that the situation isn't quite that. Again, we return to the issue of communication and transparency. It's important to be honest as much as you can in a relationship.

Both is optimal, but relationship concerns may take priority. Once you work out where the both of you stand, more transparency can be had.
