Need help regarding love, potential relationships, and the like? Ask here.

There's someone I like, but it would never work out between us for a lot of reasons. But even still, I'd like to find someone, even if it's not him... How do I find someone who's just like him, but who would actually work out?

[This is probably the first time France has given love advice to a Pokémon! A first time for everything.]

Why wouldn't things work out with him?

Oh, our lives are just too different. He's a strong trainer, and I hear he's even a king somewhere. But me, I'm just an ordinary girl who fell down a well.

We are long past the days when kings and commoners could not consider each other. After all, there are no kings here, and we all come as equals. If it is he that you are interested in, it isn't wise to try and find someone else and make them try to fit the bill; you will only end up disappointed. You should try your stakes with the person you're truly interested in, not with someone you're conceiving as a replacement.

That is a substantial obstacle, and you're right to recognise the need to seek someone of a bit more of a similar situation to yours. If you don't mind me asking, are you currently still dead in this world, or are you dead in another but alive here as the phenomenon tends to be for otherworlders?

You may wish to play the field with those that share your situation. I'm a firm believer in love conquers all, but death and a change in form will tend to cause more misunderstandings than not. I stand by what I said on not trying to find someone else just a replacement, though. That is always a recipe for disaster.

How will I know what to look for, though? He's the only one I've ever fallen for.

Start with the best three qualities of the person you currently love. Use them as a set of guidelines as you look at others. You don't want a clone and you don't want to view anyone as a replacement, but the best qualities you see in the person you are currently interested in are good qualities for a reason.

Oh, it'll be hard to pick just three... But okay, I'll try that.
