[Post 024] Video/Action for Goldenrod City

[France's face is that of an extremely pleased person when it appears on the network this time around. Yes, he's clearly gloating over something.]

For Easter, I have received two beautiful and lovely additions! I have named the Charmander "Louis," and the Luvdisc is named "Étienne."

[He shifts the 'Gear to capture two, brand-spanking new baby pokemon of very different types!]

[Étienne makes a cheerful bid to cry out Hello! Hello! Won't you be our friend? You will be my friend. Yes, yes, you will whilst throwing a Captivate or two out. Louis, on the other hand, gives the 'Gear's camera a calculating look, his little flame-tipped tail lashing about behind him.]

[France shifts the camera back to himself, although you can still see the two small pokemon in the background; if you're on the paranoid side, you might get the impression Louis has plans.]

Aren't they just the most adorable pair? The sun really does love to shine upon France.

[France grins cockily and blows a kiss to the screen before turning the feed off.]

Someone who is considered holy and who uphold God.

[France pauses.]

At least in Christianity. It works differently in some other religions.

Mm. We... don't have much of a religion on my Planet.

[France blinks, curiosity getting the better of him as usual.]

Do you mean that you have religion, but it's not regularly practiced, or that it's just not very common?

[identity profile] notrlychaotic.livejournal.com 2011-04-29 08:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Neither. There are people who refer to a god or goddess sometimes and we do have churches but no one uses them or practices it. Not anymore, anyway if they had been used before I was born.

[He shrugs. He's still remembering things from his Home World, so he could very well be wrong. But knowing that there wasn't much of any sort of worship was very natural to him, so it was easy for him to say this with certainty. Besides:]

My Planet Itself is sort of sentient. There isn't a point in worshiping a separate deity when many already saw that It can and will become angry and defend Itself if need be.

[Now that's one image he can't forget, the Planet stopping Meteor. Though the situation surrounding it is still hazy at best.]

[France makes a soft noise of understanding, seeming to contemplate a world where religion existed but wasn't practiced.]

That's -

[Wait. France's expression turns totally shocked and maybe a little horrified.]

Your world is sentient?!

[identity profile] notrlychaotic.livejournal.com 2011-05-01 07:09 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah. It is.

[Why so horrified?]

The Lifestream is what gives everything on the Planet life, we all return to it eventually when we die. And if a big enough threat threatens the Planet, the Lifestream will fight it.

[France nods slowly before laughing slightly.]

I misinterpreted what you meant when you said your planet was sentient. I was imagining it had eyes and a brain and limbs... Now, I get it! I'm sorry if I offended you.

[Technically, it does have eyes and a brain but Cloud isn't going to keep describing it further than that.]

It's fine, you didn't offend me.

[It's probably for the best that Cloud doesn't tell France too much about that sort of thing.]

Do you mind me asking how the Lifestream works? Is it something you can see or is it only apparent when it's working its... work?
