[Post 007] Text/Video/Action From Violet City Pokemon Center

I had... a very strange dream...

The calendar says that three days have gone by. My left leg buckled when I tried to get up today, and my head feels like I've been hit with a sledgehammer.

Have I been ill?

When I woke, I... I thought...

I thought I could smell lilies...

[The 'Gear comes on to show Marianne's fuzzy red face. She looks worried, at least from the downturn of her dark eyes, before picking up the 'Gear. She brings it to an angle that captures France, who is lying in his bed in the Violet City Pokemon Center, staring listlessly at the ceiling. This is all the 'Gear picks up for a good few minutes before France turns his head slowly to the side, gazing with the same apathetic expression at Marianne and the 'Gear.]

Marianne...

[France sighs and sits up, a hand going briefly to the left side of his head and eyes fluttering as if the movement has made him dizzy. He reaches out and beckons Marianne over. The camera briefly catches France's two adopted Drifblims, Kai and Drifblim, and David hovering around the foot of the bed before it's switched off.]

I thought... I went to Heaven...

[France frowns at the screen, looking sincerely concerned.]

You should maybe see Nurse Joy or one of the professional people in the Center; they probably are more adept with dealing with excessive and prolonged cold.

... [He wonders if he should ask. Though he never saw her in person, he had heard stories and knew about the cruel end she had come to.] I could've sworn that I was t-talking to someone about Lien-Hua during that time, and I d-don't mean my Gyarados.

Perhaps, b-but I can barely move right now. I'll ask Korea or Hong Kong to call her if need be, aru. Once I feel better I'll go out and get some sunshine.

[France sighs and curls up slightly on his bed.]

I think that we might have all glimpsed something that we weren't supposed to while we are in Hell. Or maybe what we are supposed to see.

[He groans.]

Thinking makes my head hurts.

P-Perhaps, aru. [He pulls all the covers closer to him.]

For now it's probably b-best if we just sleep. [This is another reason he can't believe that he was alseep for those whole three days; he still feels tired.]

[France shakes his head frantically for a few seconds before abruptly stopping turning a grayish shade and clutching his head.]

Don't go to sleep when you're cold!

[He drops the 'Gear and you can hear a door open and close as he presumably runs off to empty his stomach.]

Um... [That sound in the background couldn't possibly be good.]

Sorry, aru. It's just that I feel so tired.

[France comes back about ten minutes later, looking tired.]

So am I, but you should still see Nurse Joy; she would know how to deal with low body temperature.

[He smirks slightly.]

Unless, of course, you would rather share body heat with me.

D-Don't even think about it, aru! [He pulls the blankets over his head to hide his face, which is beginning to warm itself up.]

I'll see her after a few minutes.

[France pouts.]

The sooner the better.

B-B-But... [Well, truth be told, he'd rather stay curled up underneath the warm blankets. Still, his cold would get worse if he remained the way he was.]

Alright, alright, aru. I need to make a full recovery soon anyway if I want to win my upcoming sparring match.

[France tilts his head slightly, curious.]

Sparring match?

Ah, Prussia challenged me awhile ago, aru. He decided that it should be between Nations and not pokemon.

[One by one he pulls the blankets off of him. However, he does so slowly as he feels the warmth fade.]

[France rolls his eyes.]

Ah, Prussia. That doesn't surprise me.

Same here. Still, it'll be interesting, aru.

[Reluctantly, he takes the last blanket off of him. He's dressed in his red shirt and white pants.] I'll be right back.

[He gets off his bed and heads out the door, leaving the gear on his bed with Ling and Li. The two pokemon engage in a conversation, probably just gossiping about other pokemon.]

[About fifteen minutes later, China returns holding a bottle filled with pills. He's already taken two of them and he can slowly feel his body heat returning. He sets the bottle down on the nightstand and climbs back into bed and under all the blankets. He's got the gear in his hand again.]

Well, it's slowly working its effects, aru. At least my teeth finally stopped chattering.

[France is dozing on his end of the video, a mug of hot chocolate stemming on his bedside table. He wakes up and smiles.]

That's good to hear. Are you going to rest now?

[China nods.] Yes. I still feel exhausted, aru.

[He yawns and curls up under the covers.]

[France reaches over and sips his hot chocolate.]

Then rest up. We never know when Hell's true face will return again.

Mm... Although, during that time I could've sworn that I was talking with Vietnam, so it wasn't a total disaster. Sure we've butt heads in the past, but she's still my sister and it was nice to hear her voice again, aru.

Anyways, I guess I'll be seeing you around. [Li and Ling cuddle closer to him.]

[France yawns, lying back against his pillow after setting his drink down on the bedside table again. He looks up at the ceiling somewhat listlessly.]

I think... I think I went to Heaven. Jeanne was there. She... talked to me... I think...

I believe you and I believe that I saw my sister, aru. I'm sure we'll remember one of these days. I mean, we can only be in the dark for so long, aru.

Hell can do whatever it wants. Just... don't let me glimpse Heaven and shove me back here; that's too cruel...

[He's at a loss for words. He doesn't want to say the wrong thing.] I feel the same way for my favorite nursemaid, aru. She was the closest person I had to a mother.

I think that a part of them stays behind with us to give comfort when we most need it.

I don't think I'm going to Heaven.

I think I'm going to be stuck here.

Forever.

Th-That's not true. I know that I'm not Christian and that my grasp on God is loose, but I don't think any Nation deserves to go to Hell, aru. We're just following our leaders' orders, so we can't be blamed for every disaster that's happened in history since we really have no choice but to obey, aru.

[He silently asks himself why he always found himself in a spot like this, but he endures it.]
