[Post 009] Video/Text/Action From Violet City

[France is huddled underneath his new comforter, clearly believing that the incoming storm means it's time to be in a continuous state of cold. He looks pleasant enough, though, and Marianne can be spotted stretched out happily on the radiator on the far right of the screen.]

It looks like a big storm in coming in. The locals were really adamant on stocking up their homes for disaster which isn't entirely reassuring.

[He snuggles underneath the comforter a bit more.]

I love winter weather, but this is a little too much even for me. I'm staying inside.

[His expression shifts into a worried one; this is probably the actual reason for this post.]

I hope no one is seriously trying to travel in this...

Have you made it safely to Goldenrod, or are you still traveling?

[This one looks a bit sheepish.]

Erm...

[In Cecil's defense, he's in the middle of the road. Nevermind that he could probably wait it out at the National Park.]

[France makes a pouty face at you.]

Why are you outside? You should come inside and bed with me.

Well, I suppose I could stay at the National Park until the storm is over. But then I would reach Goldenrod after Christmas, and all the presents I need to buy would be late. Including yours. And then I'd still have to go down to Azalea to get that badge, which would take even more time, and I wouldn't be able to visit Violet or Ecruteak until spring. [He might be exagerating a little.]

But -

[What is this logic and why is it logical?!]

If accomplishing these things will make you happy... and I would like a gift...

But you'll be cold!

[Cecil is very good at talking people into things. It's the whole 'aura of pure goodness' thing.]

It's not that bad. The wind can bite at times, but that is easily remedied. Besides, Flare keeps me warm. [Said Flare barks in agreement.]

[And such a sweet aura it is. ;3]

[France slowly relaxes, especially after hearing that Cecil has a fire type to keep him well and safe.]

Still... it's good to be careful. This weather is unpredictable, and I have no idea how Hell dishes out its storms.

With fury and wind and piles of snow, from what I can tell. But I'll be fine. I bought enough Ice Heals to last the whole journey.

[France snuggles even more securely under his blankets, smiling slightly.]

I'll hold you to that. If you catch a cold, I'll never let you live it down.

[He laughs.] There's no need to wory about colds. My immune system is surprisingly strong, and I have enough layers to dress a small village.

[France grins, holding the 'Gear over him as he lies down, comfortable in bed.]

You certainly are prepared. I do hope that with all those layers you don't go the other way and overheat. That would be just too ironic.

If it gets too warm, I'll simply take off the armor. I doubt I'll be attacked by much on the way. Even the wild Pokémon tend to hide from the cold.

[Oh, my, a knight in shining armor. France's day just got even better.]

I suppose it's a nice change from being attacked by Rattata and Geodudes every other step of the way.

There weren't much Rattata and Geodudes on this route. However, I did meet Flare's and Marianne's whole extended families. It's the first time I've seen wild Fire-types, actually.

[France blinks, surprised.]

Really! I hadn't known Vulpix could be found wild.

[He shakes his head, chuckling.]

I guess I can't imagine Marianne living in wild. It's such a strange image.

It surprised me too. But I have no doubt she would enjoy chasing Stantlers with her brethren. They are much taller and stronger than the prey around Violet.

Stantlers?

[France mouths the word, trying to figure out the pun that often makes up pokemon species.]

Something with antlers? Marianne would probably love chasing it if it's bigger and looks like a challenge.

They look mostly like deer. And they are bigger than any other wild Pokémon I've seen, not counting the Onix.

Marianne would definitely enjoy chasing deer. She would probably think it all fun and games and even enjoy the meat. Such a civilized girl until a challenge presents itself.

[France is somewhere between proud and befuddled.]

She has pride in her strength. Of course she would enjoy showing it off.

That she does, the little minx.

[He chuckles, amused.]

I probably should discipline her a bit more, but... she's just too cute.

She is indeed quite adorable. I wonder how pretty she'll be when she evolves?

[France beams, his entire demeanor brightening.]

Oh, she'll be a truly beautiful woman then. She'll probably outshine me, but that's only to be expected in this case.

A graceful, elegant fox lady? With strong fire attacks and sharp fangs, perhaps? She looks like she'll become very fast.
