[Post 013] Accidental Video/Action in Goldenrod City

[The video opens up to the glaring, narrowed eyes of Marianne the Demon Fox Ninetales. She makes a snuffling sound of displeasure at the screen before getting up, walking around the 'Gear and picking it up to reveal a very, very large pile of snow not far from the beach of Goldenrod City. You can see a bike on its side with one wheel still spinning to the side of the screen briefly before the 'Gear swings around to - ]

AAAAAAAaaaaAAAAA -

[- a wailing pile of snow?]

[Oh, wait, there are France's legs, sticking out from the left end from the snow pile. Well, there's a sight you don't see everyday. The legs flail about for a bit, kicking at the air uselessly, before, with a particularly loud wail, France's head pops out of the top of the snow. His arms appear next, flailing about like his legs, and then he tumbles out of the icy prison, still sobbing and looking generally pretty traumatized.]

['Gear mets the ground and you see Marianne's underside and tails before her foot lands on the 'Gear, cutting the feed off.]

[France stares blankly for a moment before shaking his head slowly in stunned disbelief.]

I suppose this might not be so odd then to some people here. I mean, if this world is created by a wormhole through space and time, basic laws of physics need not necessarily apply...

Would that... truly be impossible in your world?

[identity profile] of-france.livejournal.com 2011-01-20 06:55 am (UTC)(link)
Well... Maybe with magic, but it's very unlikely or completely impossible. Bags aren't bottomless pits, I know that at least.
paladinlost: (cute)

[personal profile] paladinlost 2011-01-20 06:57 am (UTC)(link)
Even ours are not quite bottomless. We can only hold ninety-nine items of the same type at once.

[identity profile] of-france.livejournal.com 2011-01-20 07:08 am (UTC)(link)
...Why would you want ninety-nine of the same items?

[Because that's clearly the most pressing question here.]

We were exploring caves on the moon. Supplies are hard to find there; we needed to stockpile medicine.

You were exploring caves.

On the moon.

...How.
paladinlost: (cute)

[personal profile] paladinlost 2011-01-20 07:26 am (UTC)(link)
Do you mean 'Why were you there?' or 'How did you go there?'

[identity profile] of-france.livejournal.com 2011-01-20 07:29 am (UTC)(link)
[Just gawking and then -]

Both?
paladinlost: (happy)

[personal profile] paladinlost 2011-01-20 07:34 am (UTC)(link)
We were there because that was where our enemy was hiding. We reached it with the help of the Lunar Whale, a spaceship my father built. [Doesn't that sound normal, coming out of his mouth?]

[Video] I have no good icons for this *A*

[identity profile] of-france.livejournal.com 2011-01-20 07:44 am (UTC)(link)
[France has an image of a monster of gargantuan proportions on the moon and a whale flying at it like a torpedo. The look on his face is just... Well, it's baffled to say the least.]

If it was anyone else, I would say they've gone loopy, but, for some reason, I believe you. Maybe I'm crazy, but I believe you. I might have a concussion after all...
paladinlost: (^_^)

[personal profile] paladinlost 2011-01-20 04:19 pm (UTC)(link)
I'll take that as a compliment. Though I admit, we were rather surprised ourselves. We were completely unaware our moons had breathable atmospheres, or even populations.

[identity profile] of-france.livejournal.com 2011-01-21 06:57 am (UTC)(link)
I wouldn't expect moons to have atmospheres that could sustain life on a cellular level. Entire populations...

[He puts his face in his hands.]

What did they look like?
paladinlost: (happy)

[personal profile] paladinlost 2011-01-21 07:04 am (UTC)(link)
The Hummingways look like bipedal rabbits. They own the only store on the moon, and their prices are murder. The Lunarians look indistinguishable from humans, unless you look very closely. However, they have longer lifespans.

[identity profile] of-france.livejournal.com 2011-01-21 09:17 am (UTC)(link)
Rabbits own stores. On the moon. I... suppose that makes some sense if Japan really was right about things...

[France mouth "Lunarians," confused.]

If they're like humans, how do they live on the moon? Don't they need adequate oxygen?
paladinlost: (peaceful)

[personal profile] paladinlost 2011-01-21 05:42 pm (UTC)(link)
Their air is breathable, so oxygen is not a problem. ...Although that would matter little at the moment. They're all asleep in the castle, and have been for centuries.

[identity profile] of-france.livejournal.com 2011-01-22 08:34 am (UTC)(link)
Why are they all asleep? Is it some sort of magical curse?
paladinlost: (pretty)

[personal profile] paladinlost 2011-01-22 04:43 pm (UTC)(link)
[He shakes his head.] They went to sleep willingly. They await the day humans will have technology comparable to theirs, so they can meet them as equals instead of superiors.

[identity profile] of-france.livejournal.com 2011-01-23 03:04 am (UTC)(link)
[Now France looks utterly disbelieving.]

Why didn't they just use their superior technology to conquer humans? Why would they want to risk battle with a force of equal power?
paladinlost: (peaceful)

[personal profile] paladinlost 2011-01-23 03:13 am (UTC)(link)
Because they look not for battle, but for friendship. They want to live in harmony with humans.

[identity profile] of-france.livejournal.com 2011-01-23 04:22 am (UTC)(link)
That's a rather Utopian sentiment. It would be nice, though, to have peace between species even if humans cannot find peace amongst themselves.
paladinlost: (soft)

[personal profile] paladinlost 2011-01-23 04:27 am (UTC)(link)
Perhaps it is. But they believed in it enough to willingly leave the planet's orbit, after one of their own tried to destroy humanity.

[identity profile] of-france.livejournal.com 2011-01-23 04:44 am (UTC)(link)
[France blinks slowly before shaking his head with a small smile.]

Your world is so different from mine and yet we share so many similarities somehow. It's baffling to say the least.
paladinlost: (happy)

[personal profile] paladinlost 2011-01-23 04:51 am (UTC)(link)
And some worlds are quite alike, yet their people could not be any more different. Some aspects of life are simply impossible to explain.
