[Post 013] Accidental Video/Action in Goldenrod City

[The video opens up to the glaring, narrowed eyes of Marianne the ~~Demon Fox~~ Ninetales. She makes a snuffling sound of displeasure at the screen before getting up, walking around the 'Gear and picking it up to reveal a very, very large pile of snow not far from the beach of Goldenrod City. You can see a bike on its side with one wheel still spinning to the side of the screen briefly before the 'Gear swings around to - ]

AAAAAAAaaaaAAAAA -

[- a wailing pile of snow?]

[Oh, wait, there are France's legs, sticking out from the left end from the snow pile. Well, there's a sight you don't see everyday. The legs flail about for a bit, kicking at the air uselessly, before, with a particularly loud wail, France's head pops out of the top of the snow. His arms appear next, flailing about like his legs, and then he tumbles out of the icy prison, still sobbing and looking generally pretty traumatized.]

['Gear mets the ground and you see Marianne's underside and tails before her foot lands on the 'Gear, cutting the feed off.]

Purgatory. I guess that's alright! [They had called Pulse "hell" back on Cocoon. It had been a tough life for sure but hell? So she compromises on it.]

Not really...They have these cards back where I come from. And you just put ...well they're pretty neat! [She takes the money with two hands then turns to the machine, scrutinizing it. What kind of drink should she get? France got hot chocolate and since she doesn't really know any of the other things in there she just presses the button for hot chocolate too.]

Wah! It really does give you it! Wonder how it works...[Leave her alone and she'll start pressing buttons. She turns to France, nodding her head once] Thanks! Next time I'll buy, okay?

I... don't know if it's alright, but it's better than Hell.

[France tilts his head slightly, curious.]

Cards? Like, preloaded credit cards?

[There's something at about Vanille that's extremely refreshing. Maybe it's her enthusiasm or her innocence, but something about her makes France smile.]

It is proper for a gentleman to treat a lady. But if the lady insists...

Right!

[She thinks...] Yep! Kinda like that! They called the money there "credits" and it came on a card...so you must be right!

[And Vanille can't say she's ever met a man like France.]

It is? Oh...Right! [She recalls something about that back on Cocoon.] But it's better to be fair so I insist!

It's a very convenient way to deal with money, credit cards. Great inventions, especially when you're dealing with large amounts of money.

[France laughs around the rim of his cup, taking a deep sip of the hot chocolate.]

Well, then I must thank you in advance for your kindness.

Sure! I like to use money better because if you lose the card how are you supposed to get money then?

[She sips from hers too, eyes widening] It's good! Wow! [Cocoon food is pretty plain...]

No need for thanks, I'm just repaying the favour!

That's very true. Isn't there somewhere that keeps track of your account and that you could get a new card from?

[This girl is so refreshing. France grins.]

There's actually some very good food around here. I work at the Goldenrod Restaurant in the early afternoon. You should come by and try the food.

I bet so! [She has no clue considering Fang just beat the crap out of two guys then stole their credit card. :|;;;] But it would still be scary losing something so important.

[She gives an enthusiastic nod] Really? I will! We'll form a good partnership! [Between clans. Eating food together = cementing your status as bffs back home.]

Does your world also have problems with identity theft related to credit cards?

[France gives her a small bow.]

Good food and friendship: I would be honored to enter into such a partnership with you.

[She cringes at the memory] Kind of...[Change of subject GO]

I'm glad! [She takes another sip] Mm~ I bet Fang would think it's too sweet but I like it!

[France is so interested in that line of conversation now, but he'll let it go for now. After all, he is a French gentleman.]

Who is Fang? A friend or pokémon of yours?

She's my friend from back home! [That's about all she'll tell you. Fang had taught her not to talk too much about themselves to people she didn't know well. She probably shouldn't have even said this much...:|;;;;] Do you have any friends from home here?

[France nods slowly, swirling the last of his hot chocolate in the cup.]

I know a few people here. There's China, Hong Kong, Korea, the Netherlands, Spain, South Italy, and, of course, my Canada. But it's a lot less than the number back home.

Wow, that's a lot! Lucky you! [She grins] your Canada? [~~Canadian mun demands to know what you are doing with her country. : | Are you creating Quebec? Cause if you are....XD~~]A good friend of your sthen.

Canada was... is my colony, so I care for him. He's younger than he is in my current time, but that seems to be one of the incidents of strangeness inherent to this place.

[[OOC: Although... I haven't seen the young!Canada around for over a month sob]]

So you're like a big brother...[She knows what he means abut the timeline differences considering she's a good 2 days behind her friends.] I'll bet he appreciates someone like you taking care of him!

[[ooc: ;A; How sad! Come back Canadaaa]]

[He makes a flourishing movement to better display himself.]

Big Brother France: that's me!

[He tosses the empty cup into the trash can next to the register, his smile becoming earnest.]

It's more like I'm lucky to have him.

Wow! So dramatic! [She is impressed by your flourish, France.]

I understand! [Well, she's more like the Canada than the France but she still gets it.] But I bet he would argue with you on that one.

Thank you.

[France's face falls.]

If he was old enough to argue about it, he probably would have a few choice words to say to me. Probably more like a lot...

[she keeps on making him sad...She shakes her head, finishing off the last of her drink] I don't think that's true, why would he do that?

[France laughs slightly and shakes his head.]

It's not worth dwelling on. The past is the past even if it's his future...

[He smiles apologetically.]

Are you enjoying your drink?

[She doesn't push even though she wants to. Her friends forgave her for all of her mistakes; Canada probably would too...right?]

[She puts on her happy face though so she doesn't bring him down anything further] It was really delicious! Thanks for telling me about it! I guess you're used to that kind of drink though, right?

[He really, really appreciates that she isn't pushing the subject. The temptation is great; he knows.]

I tend to like my hot chocolate a bit more bitter and made thicker, but I am a concierge of this sort of thing. I will make you a proper cup if you visit me at the restaurant.

[He blinks, suddenly remembering they're loitering in the Mart, and half-grinning.]

We should go. Although I adore your company, I need to take a hot bath and rest.

Wow, a concierge...[She doesn't know what a concierge is but it sounds fancy]

[She laughs] Oops! We kind of stuck around for a long time, huh? Fang is probably wondering where I am! [She nods] Until next time then!

[France gives a short bow, grinning widely now.]

It's a pleasure to spend time with you, and I greatly look forward to the next time we meet.

[He straightens and winks playfully.]
