[Post 028] Video/Action for Goldenrod City (Backdated to 5/31)

[In the aftermath of the past weekend, France has apparently decided he needs to spend quality time with his pokemon. The video comes on to a good lot of them huddled on France's bed, bunched up around him as he starts the video. How he came to this conclusion is a mystery in and of itself. Well, let's hear about the reasoning from the horse's mouth -]

[Or not. It appears that, due to spending 3 full days running around exposed to the elements by means of being stark naked, has taken a toll on this Nation-once-more-turned-human. The fit tapers off and he clears his throat.]

How do you treat a cold with cough, fever, and congestion here?

[He pauses for a long time before continuing in a very quiet voice.]

And can someone explain to me why I woke up naked in the next to the Radio Tower with no memory of the past three days?

[France will greatly, greatly appreciate that ice cream, not going to lie. At the moment, though, he's sprawled out on his bed, mouth open as he sleeps not entirely unlike the dead. Thérèse, however, bounds over, happy to see you and if you brought new "friends."]

[Envy will bend to give Thérèse some head scratches when she comes over, since France is clearly asleep and also covered in Pokemon, so Envy isn't sure whether he should wake him or not. But sorry Thérèse, he hasn't brought any other Pokemon with him.] You guys are all watching him, I see.

[He makes his way over to the bed, halfway keeping an eye on Marianne as he gets closer.]

[Once she notices the distinct lack of anyone to engage, Thérèse looses interest in Envy to go complain about inconsiderate humans to David, who just stares blankly at her. Marianne glares at Envy, curling closely around France, not unlike a possessive snake. France stirs at Marianne's movement, momentarily opening his eyes without fully waking up, mumbling at his dream.]

You should only use the pink memos for emergencies...

[Envy definitely stops farther away from the bed than he would if Marianne wasn't there. Fire is currently high on his Do Not Want list. He can't help but be amused at France, though, and laughs quietly.]

Dreaming about paperwork?

[France wakes up fully at the laughing, shifting to blink muzzily at Envy. He clears his throat, shifting slightly away from Marianne to sit up.]

'Not the worst thing to dream about; the new hires always use the wrong colored memos.

[He starts to yawn but is interrupted by a coughing fit. When it finishes, he gives Envy an apologetic look.]

Have you been here long?

[Envy half grins when France wakes up, shrugging.] What can you do with new people? This is back home, I'm guessing.

[That grin turns a bit worried when France starts coughing, and he moves up to sit on the edge of the bed while carefully avoiding Marianne.] No, I just got here.

[He holds up the ice cream.] I brought this, though. It should make you feel better, right?

[France nods, sitting back against the wall that shields one side of the bed. He's never quite gotten over the habit of putting a wall to his back.]

Most employees are lacking in the beginning. A few are exemplary from the very start, though. It just depends.

[He visibly perks up at the sight of the ice cream and starts to edge off the bed to get to the desk for the box he keeps his utensils in.]

Yes, it would. Hold on, I'll get spoons.

True enough.

[When France looks like he's getting out of bed though, Envy frowns slightly.] You shouldn't get up if you're sick. I can get them. They're over there, right?

[He turns to go in the direction France had been looking.]

[France settles back in bed, pointing at the plastic box next to a beat-up notebook.]

They're in there. Thank you, Envy.

[Envy goes for the box and takes out two spoons, tossing a grin back over his shoulder.] No problem. I have learned a few things here about health while I've been here.

[He does spare a curious glance at the notebook, but for the moment he'll just head back to the bed, sitting down on the edge and offering France the ice cream and a spoon. The extra spoon he sets down beside him, clearly not intending to use it immediately or possibly at all.] Here. You like chocolate, right?

[The notebook is full of various observations of Johto; if Envy was to pick it up and read it, he might find it interesting, maybe even amusing. France wouldn't mind]

[France takes the ice cream and spoon eagerly, taking a bite out the cold sweetness. He hums delighted at the soothing feeling of the ice cream, swallowing before responding with a mock-sage expression.]

Chocolate is the cure to all ills, Envy. One day modern science will acknowledge it's greatness.

I'm certain it will. Nobody can deny that it's good for you for long.

[He grins, then looks curious.] Do you remember any of your dreams from the weekend?

Exactly.

[He shakes his head at the question, taking another bite before offering the carton to Envy.]

I don't remember anything. Only evidence the weekend happened is the date on my 'Gear, really.

[Envy accepts the carton to take a bite himself, looking happy at the chocolate. He doesn't take as much as he normally would though before handing it back to France.]

Really? I remember a few things.

I just don't get why this three day memory loss thing had to happen again.

[France accepts the carton, taking another bite and savoring it. He nods in agreement, grimacing.]

Maybe it's like this place's version of a holiday.
