[Post 028] Video/Action for Goldenrod City (Backdated to 5/31)

[In the aftermath of the past weekend, France has apparently decided he needs to spend quality time with his pokemon. The video comes on to a good lot of them huddled on France's bed, bunched up around him as he starts the video. How he came to this conclusion is a mystery in and of itself. Well, let's hear about the reasoning from the horse's mouth -]

[Or not. It appears that, due to spending 3 full days running around exposed to the elements by means of being stark naked, has taken a toll on this Nation-once-more-turned-human. The fit tapers off and he clears his throat.]

How do you treat a cold with cough, fever, and congestion here?

[He pauses for a long time before continuing in a very quiet voice.]

And can someone explain to me why I woke up naked in the next to the Radio Tower with no memory of the past three days?

[She can't help but grin wider-somehow-when she hears French.] What's a...Mademoiselle? [She pronounces it strangely of course]

That's good, there's nothing worse than being alone when you're sick. But he better make sure to take good care of you or he'll have me to worry about! [She frowns and furrows her brows-even despite that she doesn't manage to look very intimidating.] Have you been sick very long?

A young lady of distinction.

[He winks, but the effect is rather ruined by the coughing. That follows. He clears his throat at the end.]

Just since I woke up this morning. I don't remember if I was ill before that. Did you just wake from the coma?

[Gigglefit] What's a young man of distinction then?

[She frowns at that. Maybe she shouldn't have come and just let him sleep. What if he gets sicker because he didn't sleep?!]

That means you might be sick for a liittle while longer. [She holds out his hot chocolate] Do you want this now or should I put it down? [She looks around for somewhere to put it] Yep! On the 2nd of the month I did!

Still Monsieur. Only ladies have the distinction in titles. In the old days, Mademoiselle was exclusively for young, marriageable ladies, and the title Madame for the married. It's carried over to now.

[Naw, France can sleep whenever he wants to; the coughing just comes and goes. He reaches out for the hot chocolate and takes it.]

I'll take it now. Thank you so much. How are you feeling since waking up?

Pretty complicated! But I'll remember...I think, Monsieur France~

[She smiles and shakes her head-it's really no problem for her to help a friend out.] If it helps you feel better then it's good! I feel kind of awake but tired at the same time. I guess cause I was out so long. Have you ever had anyone be in a coma? Must be scary...

[France smiles warmly.]

I'm certain you will.

[France nods slowly.]

I've known many people to be in comas, most of the time in their final days. It is rather jarring, especially when it's sudden.

Final...days? [D: How horrible!] You mean before...? How sad. They don't even get to say goodbye... [She says a quick prayer for them and smiles] I know that Lightning went into one and my friend Hope was really worried but she woke up too so it's okay! Are you...sleeping with your Pokemon?

[She just notices them now :'D]

[France grimaces a bit; he hadn't mean to be that grim. He latches onto that last question gladly.]

Sometimes I do. They're very warm and comforting.

Really? [She leans over and tries to peek at them] Squishy isn't very warm but I guess Mr.Fluffybutt and Choco are. They still sleep with me anyway cause...it makes you better friends! I didn't know other people did it too though! [Even though she recommends it to everyone XD] You think fire pokemon are warmer than the other ones?

[Marianne gives Vanille a highly suspicious look whereas Thérèse barely even spares a glance; Vanille brought no mating prospects.]

Letting them sleep with me isn't something that I do all the time, but it does help to build trust.

[He coughs shortly.]

I'm not sure about temperature; I've always assumed it differs just depending on the pokemon species. It would make sense for fire types to be hotter, though.

[Pffftt. Vanille waves at them]

Right! It's much easier to trust someone who trusts you enough to show their sleeping face to you!

Yeah, it's weird how that works, huh? I never thought that Pokemon had so much variety in them...Kind of like monsters. But I wouldn't want to fight a Pokemon with my weapon. [She laughs and looks around] Hey, do you liv alone?
