[Post 010] Forward-Dated to Christmas Morning; Video/Action in Violet City
[The 'Gear comes on pointing upwards and unfocused. It's safe to say that this is probably Marianne's fault.]
[If you happen to come across France, he's sitting underneath one of the bazillion springs of mistletoe in the Violet City Pokemon Center with his pokemon all gathered around him. Kai, Drifblim, and David all look rather curious, and Marianne looks... distracted by the mistletoe overhead. He had rushed to the counter upon waking because of the sudden appearance of a mystery egg in his bed. It looks something like this:]

[He's now been assured that it is, in fact, his to keep. A small, warm Eevee egg of unknown origins, but France doesn't look like he's about to question it. Actually, quite the opposite. He's got a calm, almost drugged expression on his face, and the Eevee egg is wrapped in a swath of white fleece as he cradles it in his arms. He looks very, very happy and, if you come close or happen to catch the faint sound on the feed, you would hear France singing from the carol Ah! Quel grand mystère! (O! What a great mystery!) to the egg in his arms.]
Ah! Quel grand mystère!
Dieu se fait enfant.
Il descend sur terre,
Lui, le tout-puissant!
C’est bien le Messie,
Roi de l’univers,
Qui nous rend la vie
En brisant nos fers.

[Action 2:2]
Even though Hell plays tricks, I don't think it could imitate you this well.
[He hugs Spain with one arm, grinning.]
It is always a pleasure to see a good friend again.
[Action]
( When France leans forward, he leans back due to the closeness. He doesn't really breathe either until he's hugged again. )
You believe me! What a relief, I don't know what I would do if I was a demon. . .
[Action]
If you were a demon, you would probably consume me, somehow but surely.
I'm glad you're here either way. It gets lonely here.
[Action]
Impossible; you're never lonely, Francis.
[Action]
Perhaps not. But even I know the enjoyment of a familiar face amongst strangers.
[Action]
Then I'll make sure to stay around more often!
( Even if it's smaller and quieter than what he's used to on Christmas, Spain doesn't really mind it that much. But speaking of Christmas-- ) Have you thought of any names yet? ( By which, he means, for the egg. )
[Action 1:2]
[He purrs slightly, leaning to peck Spain fondly on the cheek.]
See that you do.
[Action 2:2]
I think I'll wait until it hatches to see what kind of personality it has. A name should match, for good luck if anything. Have you been thinking on a name for yours?
[action]
I suppose. . . but it's so much fun thinking of names! Maybe Maria if it's a girl or. . . or Jaime if it's a boy.
( He's excited to think of names. Obviously, naming half of the world was not enough for Spain. )
[Action]
Why not something more exotic or memorable? That way no one will ever forget your pokemon is yours and yours alone! Make an entrance!
[Action]
But I like Maria and Jaime. . . And I'm not the one coming out of an egg!
[Action]
You're astounding. Utterly astounding.
[Action]
What did I do--?!
[Action]
Us, coming from an egg. Really? That's just so...
[But how do nations come to be? France pauses and then heads in another direction, grinning slyly at Spain.]
Can you imagine an egg containing the beauty of this France?
[Action]
( Oh, hey, bro, why're you smiling. Did something happen? He answers France's question simply, honestly, and without a doubt. )
Sí.
( Spain is absolutely positive. )
[Action]
[France drops his face into one hand and sighs.]
You make me feel so empty inside sometimes...
