[Post 010] Forward-Dated to Christmas Morning; Video/Action in Violet City

[The 'Gear comes on pointing upwards and unfocused. It's safe to say that this is probably Marianne's fault.]

[If you happen to come across France, he's sitting underneath one of the bazillion springs of mistletoe in the Violet City Pokemon Center with his pokemon all gathered around him. Kai, Drifblim, and David all look rather curious, and Marianne looks... distracted by the mistletoe overhead. He had rushed to the counter upon waking because of the sudden appearance of a mystery egg in his bed. It looks something like this:]



[He's now been assured that it is, in fact, his to keep. A small, warm Eevee egg of unknown origins, but France doesn't look like he's about to question it. Actually, quite the opposite. He's got a calm, almost drugged expression on his face, and the Eevee egg is wrapped in a swath of white fleece as he cradles it in his arms. He looks very, very happy and, if you come close or happen to catch the faint sound on the feed, you would hear France singing from the carol Ah! Quel grand mystère! (O! What a great mystery!) to the egg in his arms.]

[Envy comes on the feed with his hair mussed all to one side, looking bleary and...sort of a mixture of happy and embarrassedly frowning. He's wearing the pair of earmuffs France got him around his neck, and he has a black, blue, and yellow egg in his arms wrapped in a green scarf, along with the book.] Hey. Thanks...for the presents I mean.

[AWKWARD what are emotions.] You got an egg too?

[France blinks for a moment, confused before he turns his attention to the 'Gear. His eyes light up and he grins.]

Oh! You got my gifts in time! You're very welcome! What do you think of them?

[Grin turns into a beam.]

Yes! I think it's an Eevee. What's yours? It's so pretty!

[Envy gives him a grin back.] The earmuffs are going to be useful for outside, that's for sure. [And now a mischievous smirk.] And I'm going to enjoy reading the book~

[He pauses for a few moments, frowning slightly as he thinks of what to say.] Did you get yours from me?

...I have no idea what this one is, though.

[France winks playfully before reaching to the side and picking up the blue scarf from beside him and slinging it around his neck.]

I took it off for a bit earlier, but I do think it look much better on than off.

[He squints at the egg.]

I don't know either. Who knows? Maybe it'll turn out to be a whole new species and you'll be a pioneer!

I'm so happy you enjoy them. They were a lot of fun to make, and I thought the journal would be useful.

[France stops singing to the egg, looking up and blinking for a moment at Cooper before his face lights up with pleasure.]

[Oh, he knows the mistletoe is there. Originally, he sat here because the spring keeps Marianne calm, but, now...]

I did. _{[He had it in one of his coat pockets, so he takes it out to show it - it's green and yellow.]} I wonder who gave them to us. I think it's a little too late to believe in Santa Claus, personally, but who knows in this world?

[France peers closely at the egg, head tilted slightly to offset his near-sightedness.]

I don't know. Maybe... maybe it was God.

[He looks up, cheerful.]

I thought you would appreciate them! A good cup of coffee always starts the day off right.

Oh, and thank you very much for the wine and spices! [He smiles.] I just might keep them for my family only rather than using them up at the restaurant. [He laughs.]

I'm so glad that you liked them! They're to use as you see fit, and, really, it's best to keep the best for yourself and those precious to you.

Yes, I did get my pajamas and lingerie safe and sound. I'll always think of you when I wear them in bed.

I have no idea. This is a pretty rare egg, too, if it really is an Eevee. I wouldn't think it would just... pop out of a convenient wormhole in Hell...

[Being a totally shameless opportunist, Greed sees the mistletoe and takes it as a sign that he should probably just snog the living daylights out of France. So that's exactly what he does. He pulls away, eventually, wearing a big grin.]

Hey Blondie, Merry Christmas. I got you somethin'. [He holds out a bag.] I got th' cute nurse t' help me wrap it. [He winks over at Nurse Joy, who titters and blushes, then he looks back to France, still grinning.] I think you might like it.

[France almost falls backwards, eyes opening wide in surprise, before he grins and kisses make with equal furiosity. He follows after Greed when the other pulls away, looking up with bright, pleased eyes.]

[He takes the gift, opening it carefully and pulling out the spices, cocoa, and--France grins, looking at Greed slyly.]
