[Post 013] Accidental Video/Action in Goldenrod City

[The video opens up to the glaring, narrowed eyes of Marianne the Demon Fox Ninetales. She makes a snuffling sound of displeasure at the screen before getting up, walking around the 'Gear and picking it up to reveal a very, very large pile of snow not far from the beach of Goldenrod City. You can see a bike on its side with one wheel still spinning to the side of the screen briefly before the 'Gear swings around to - ]

AAAAAAAaaaaAAAAA -

[- a wailing pile of snow?]

[Oh, wait, there are France's legs, sticking out from the left end from the snow pile. Well, there's a sight you don't see everyday. The legs flail about for a bit, kicking at the air uselessly, before, with a particularly loud wail, France's head pops out of the top of the snow. His arms appear next, flailing about like his legs, and then he tumbles out of the icy prison, still sobbing and looking generally pretty traumatized.]

['Gear mets the ground and you see Marianne's underside and tails before her foot lands on the 'Gear, cutting the feed off.]

[She helps him to his feet and gives him a hug. He reminds her of Hope in a way. Except older of course.] Good! [A moment later she pulls away to make sure he's not injured anywhere]

Nothing hurts? Are you su~ure?

[Action]

[He grunts slightly as he gets to his feet, reaching down and brushing himself off to hide how embarrassed he is with this situation. France looks up and offers a watery kind of grin.]

Yeah, I'll be fine. Thank you so much for your help.

What are friends for? [Grin] Don't worry, that thing looks pretty scary to ride! Even I would cry if I fell off! Maybe you should go get something hot to drink?

[Action]

[identity profile] of-france.livejournal.com 2011-01-20 07:16 am (UTC)(link)
[France laughs slightly, although he looks back at the bike curiously. There's nothing unusual about it besides the obvious lack of traction.]

Have you never ridden a bike before? They aren't scary at all once you get the hang of it.

[He pauses and nods, smiling.]

Yeah, I think I could use a hot drink. Do you know anywhere that sells good hot chocolate around here?

Re: [Action]

[identity profile] notjustsunshine.livejournal.com 2011-01-20 07:22 am (UTC)(link)
Nope! We don't have them back home. [Aside from the flying bikes they have in Cocoon.] How do ya...get them to move? [She tilts her head to the side.]

Hot chocolate? Nope! But we could go look~ A big place like this, we're bound to find something eventually!

[Action]

[identity profile] of-france.livejournal.com 2011-01-20 07:39 am (UTC)(link)
[France moves the bike into the path again, making sure to check for ice. He gets onto it, pedaling for a short distance, before getting off and grinning.]

Like that. You balance and use your feet to turn the wheels with the pedals.

[He tilts his head, thinking.]

We could go by the Mart; they probably have something.

Re: [Action]

[identity profile] notjustsunshine.livejournal.com 2011-01-20 07:53 am (UTC)(link)
...Wow! You're pretty good at that!! [Colour her impressed. She walks closer to it, staring at the odd contraption then she turns, reading to start on their way]

Right! The Mart! Let's go!

[Action]

[identity profile] of-france.livejournal.com 2011-01-20 08:13 am (UTC)(link)
[He walks the bike as he follows her, keeping an eye on the ground for ice.]

Thank you for walking with me. It's rare to meet such a polite and beautiful lady in these parts.

Re: [Action]

[identity profile] notjustsunshine.livejournal.com 2011-01-20 08:40 am (UTC)(link)
Must just be luck~ [But she dissolves into giggles] just kidding! Keep charming me and you'll be in trouble!

Woah! [Heeled boots aren't the best for walking in snow and such. But she manages] It wasn't this slippery when I was out here earlier!

[Action]

[identity profile] of-france.livejournal.com 2011-01-21 05:57 am (UTC)(link)
[France shrugs leisurely.]

I might be a charmer, but I'm also honest.

[He reaches out instinctively to catch her and raises an impressed eyebrow when she rights herself.]

Are you from cold country?

Re: [Action]

[identity profile] notjustsunshine.livejournal.com 2011-01-21 06:02 am (UTC)(link)
Well, I won't argue anymore then~

[Don't be so impressed, France. It was only luck :'D.]

[She shakes her head] Nope! Not really. We got snow but it isn't cold all the time thank goodness! [Running around with bare legs wouldn't exactly the best clothing for a cold placethough then again it is Final Fantasy....]

How about you? Is France a cold nation? [She still can hardly believe it but if he says he's a nation...well, who is she to doubt him?]

[Action]

[identity profile] of-france.livejournal.com 2011-01-21 12:39 pm (UTC)(link)
[France reaches up and adjusts his slightly soggy scarf. He's going to have to get into clean, dry clothes and near to a heater soon enough, but he has a pretty good constitution.]

My land has a lot of different climates. More northward, it's colder, although the extent of coldness varies due to elevation and day to day weather patterns. I'm no stranger to snow; we get pretty heavy snow in the winter, especially in the mountains. It's very beautiful, though, in the spring, when the snow melts, and Mother Nature takes the reins again, blanketing the landscape in greenery, speckled with flowers. To the south, of course, it's warmer, especially in the summer when most people like to go to the beaches along the Mediterranean. It's a land of many seasons and personalities, diverse wildlife and beautiful flora and fauna.

Wow, sounds pretty! Too bad I can't go visit...My home is...[Huh. A dilemma. It's not like anyone here other than her friends know about Cocoon and Pulse but...It still feels like her dirty little secret that she's an "enemy of Cocoon".]

Kind of the same! [Compromise!] But this place...Feels a lot like it too.

[Action]

[identity profile] of-france.livejournal.com 2011-01-22 10:17 am (UTC)(link)
[France gives her a slightly disbelieving look before shrugging it off. They've reached the Mart and he parks his bike in front before signalling the door open.]

After you, miss.

Re: [Action]

[identity profile] notjustsunshine.livejournal.com 2011-01-23 01:31 am (UTC)(link)
Thank you kind sir! [She walks in, turning around to wait for him once she's inside.] Wow~ this one is a lot bigger than the ones in the other towns!

[Action]

[identity profile] of-france.livejournal.com 2011-01-23 04:27 am (UTC)(link)
[France takes his bike inside, propping it against the wall next to the door. He laughs good-naturedly.]

I'd hope so, since Goldenrod is the largest city here.

[He looks around before spotting the vending machine to the side of the cash register. One of them has a hot drink selection.]

Ah, here we are. What would you like? My treat.

Re: [Action]

[identity profile] notjustsunshine.livejournal.com 2011-01-23 04:34 am (UTC)(link)
Seems like it! It seems so out of place, a huge city like this. In this world I mean! Since everything else is kind of small and cute. [She shakes her head quickly] I couldn't do that!

[She would hate to be indebted to you, France! Even as charming as you indeed are.] I have money! [Kind of... She kneels down on the floor to search through her pack]

[Action]

[identity profile] of-france.livejournal.com 2011-01-23 05:31 am (UTC)(link)
[France shrugs.]

I didn't expect Hell to have any cities, but, thankfully, it's not quite as bad here as I thought it would be.

[He puts in some money into the machine and takes the cup of hot chocolate it produces. He blows lightly on it, letting the cup warm his hands.]

No, please let me treat you. You've been so kind as to walk with me here, it's the least I can do.

Re: [Action]

[identity profile] notjustsunshine.livejournal.com 2011-01-23 06:07 am (UTC)(link)
I wouldn't call this place hell at all. It's kind of like...a place in between worlds. [She looks around the mart, smiling softly.] The...The machine gave you food! [Just like on Cocoon. Except with actual money]

Mm...If you're sure it's okay...[She bites her bottom lip]

[Action]

[identity profile] of-france.livejournal.com 2011-01-23 08:57 am (UTC)(link)
Purgatory then.

[France can compromise on that. He gives her a blank look at the exclamation, blinking.]

Have you never used a vending machine before?

[He takes out a bit more money and hands it to her.]

And, yes, I'm absolutely sure.

Re: [Action]

[identity profile] notjustsunshine.livejournal.com 2011-01-23 09:03 am (UTC)(link)
Purgatory. I guess that's alright! [They had called Pulse "hell" back on Cocoon. It had been a tough life for sure but hell? So she compromises on it.]

Not really...They have these cards back where I come from. And you just put ...well they're pretty neat! [She takes the money with two hands then turns to the machine, scrutinizing it. What kind of drink should she get? France got hot chocolate and since she doesn't really know any of the other things in there she just presses the button for hot chocolate too.]

Wah! It really does give you it! Wonder how it works...[Leave her alone and she'll start pressing buttons. She turns to France, nodding her head once] Thanks! Next time I'll buy, okay?

[Action]

[identity profile] of-france.livejournal.com 2011-01-24 06:06 am (UTC)(link)
I... don't know if it's alright, but it's better than Hell.

[France tilts his head slightly, curious.]

Cards? Like, preloaded credit cards?

[There's something at about Vanille that's extremely refreshing. Maybe it's her enthusiasm or her innocence, but something about her makes France smile.]

It is proper for a gentleman to treat a lady. But if the lady insists...

Re: [Action]

[identity profile] notjustsunshine.livejournal.com 2011-01-24 06:22 am (UTC)(link)
Right!

[She thinks...] Yep! Kinda like that! They called the money there "credits" and it came on a card...so you must be right!

[And Vanille can't say she's ever met a man like France.]

It is? Oh...Right! [She recalls something about that back on Cocoon.] But it's better to be fair so I insist!

[Action]

[identity profile] of-france.livejournal.com 2011-01-24 06:49 am (UTC)(link)
It's a very convenient way to deal with money, credit cards. Great inventions, especially when you're dealing with large amounts of money.

[France laughs around the rim of his cup, taking a deep sip of the hot chocolate.]

Well, then I must thank you in advance for your kindness.

Re: [Action]

[identity profile] notjustsunshine.livejournal.com 2011-01-24 07:14 am (UTC)(link)
Sure! I like to use money better because if you lose the card how are you supposed to get money then?

[She sips from hers too, eyes widening] It's good! Wow! [Cocoon food is pretty plain...]

No need for thanks, I'm just repaying the favour!
