[Post 027] Everything & Anything for Goldenrod City

[There is no other warning except, perhaps, your ears, which might pick up France's resounding, triumphant shout of -]

FREEDOM!!!

[The scene opens to a most happy France. Very happy, indeed. Yes, he's so happy, in fact, it appears he's decided to run through Goldenrod, laughing and trapezing about, a blond, cat-like tail swishing happily behind his stark naked body.]

[Yes, Johto. This is the infamous Republic of France, Nation of Beauty, Light, and, most importantly, Liberty.]

[He's somehow gotten blond cat ears; whether or not their fake is very hard to discern. He appears to be sparkling à la Edward Cullen, most obviously naked as the day he was born (although whether Nation are born or something else is unclear). Thankfully, it appears there is a conveniently-placed rose over his crotch, but that doesn't distract from the otherwise stark nakedness. In fact, it makes it even more apparent.]

[France blinks before looking down at his feet, checking the bottoms of them before turning his attention back to China, beaming even wider.]

You're right! This is amazing!

[He does notice that beak.]

...China, there's something massive interested in your hair.

Oh? That...

[He shifts the camera so the beautiful blue bird Articuno comes into view.]

I was told that this majestic creature is a legendary Pokemon known as Articuno, aru. Also, I believe I've had a run in with these Pokemon before.

[France stares open-mouthed at Articuno for a long moment before recovering himself enough to give it a wary look.]

A legendary pokemon, then. Is it going to go crazy like that other one from this week?

If you're talking about the white bird with the beautiful voice, I don't think so, aru. [Articuno is just preening its feathers now.]

The last time I met this creature was back when we lost those three days, I just know it! I battled this creature with Lien-Hua and it nearly killed her, aru.

[France stares at China. It's not a very flattering stare.]

It's from that time, it nearly killed your pokemon, and now you're letting it play with your hair? Are you mad?

[China returns the stare with a similar one of his own.]

Believe me, when I first saw this creature flying towards me, I was preparing to run, but to my surprise it did nothing when it landed in front of me. It just preened its feathers like its doing now, aru.

[France clearly thinks you're crazy, China.]

I'd have kept running. It's probably just as dangerous as you expected it to be. Plus, it looks like it wants to eat you.

It's shown no signs of any aggression, aru.

The whole time I was meditating, listening to my people's voices, it did nothing. Besides, the last time we met, I was in its territory so it felt threatened and attacked, just as any other animal would do, aru.

[France squints at Articuno before shrugging.]

Your head if it decides to turn on you. I don't trust legends; there's too many ways of telling them.

But isn't that what makes them interesting?

The same man who told me Articuno's name mentioned that there are two other legendary birds like it, aru. He also told me about Lugia and how it only comes out of the sea when it feels threatened.

It does make them interesting, I'll give you that, but, if what that man said is true, wouldn't whatever it's afraid of logically follow it, therefore putting you in danger? Either way, it's a legend for a reason; do you really want to get involved with that?

I doubt that Articuno makes Lugia feel endangered, but even if it did, as long as I have my healing abilities... it won't matter, aru.

I'll just get back up like I always do.

[And so, China makes the conversation take a sharp turn. Way to go, China :| He smiles weakly.]

I was always fascinated with legends anyway and now, I have a living breathing one right in front of me, aru. [He had only seen Lugia from a distance.]

[France grimaces. Well, there are certain advantages to being what they are. That's the truth of it.]

I'd rather keep to what I'm doing right now, thanks.

[China just smiles weakly.]

Whatever... how do they say...? Ah. Whatever floats your boat, aru.

I wonder, though. Could I fly on this Pokemon's back? I know that the roads are easy to cross now, but still...!

[You can just hear the excitement hidden in his voice.]

[France gives China an utterly bland look.]

You could ask it. Who knows? Maybe you're destined to be a legendary bird master. I'll stick to my hot air balloons and planes.

[China seems to be perking up more and more. He chuckles.]

I don't know about that, but I guess it wouldn't hurt to try, aru.

[As China moves closer to Articuno, the gear gets a close up of the large bird. China's voice is tentative since he's still kind of scared of the Pokemon, but then a surprised intake of air is heard when Articuno spreads its large wings and lowers its back.]

I-It seems almost a little too willing, aru... [He's not going to let go of their last encounter so easily.]

[France can't help but watch this with interest. It's not a really friendly interest, more of a morbid fascination.]

But it is willing.

There's only one way to find out.

[All France will see is a close up of blue feathers as China climbs onto the legendary's back. Once he's settled, he fixes the camera back onto himself.]

It doesn't seem to mind me sitting here, aru. [He hopes that's a good sign.]

[France is extremely fascinated by all of this. He's watching the events unfolding like someone might watch a movie or a slow-motion train-wreck.]

You should make it fly you somewhere.

...Perhaps, over the ocean?

[As much as he'd like to go to Goldenrod again, he's not sure if he wants to meet France in his current state.]

[France bats his eyelashes at China.]

You should come visit me.

[China makes a lineface.]

Only if you put something on, aru.

[Pouty France is pouty.]

No. Why do you want to ruin my fun?

Because that is not appropriate, aru.

[Even so, Articuno is heading straight towards Goldenrod now. Within about twenty or so minutes, France may hear its cry right above him.]

My body is always appropriate.
